The Age Of Slippers In The Fight For Glory

A 60 years old gets slapped by slippers a whopping twenty-five times. His glass was broken, his shirt was torn, his psyche was traumatized forever and he was threatened to be thrown away from flight.

But why?

Because he was doing what he was supposed to do. He was a station manager and was pacifying a passenger. It was part of his job.

Then?

Well, he didn’t pay heed to the fact that the passenger was an M.P. People of India elected him so that he be pampered, worshipped and be considered as a demi-god. Sometimes, more than a god.

Really?

Of course. See what happened after the slipper-slap. The MP boasted about his hit before media, his beard shone like a winning gladiator from arena, and prospective politicians like him planned to do something similar next time. He’s now a god-damn role model.

Did he apologize?

Well, he tried. But, he’s from a party, which never apologizes. They force others to apologize. It’s just their party policy.

And people vote for them?

Hell ya. We love them. They’re like tigers, and tigers don’t apologize. And let me tell you stupid, at the present time, when Muslims are circling us, enslaving us and most of all, snatching our women only to force them to fall in charm of them, we need these guys, who are dashing – bashing – thrashing - clashing - smashing.

So now what?

You can’t believe what did happen! The conglomeration of airlines conspired against this victimized politician and he is barred to board any plane. Maggots.

But he didn’t apologize!

So what? The moment people elected him as an MP, he rose beyond his childhood education, deep-rooted cultural humbleness, mere humanism and this ‘apologizing’ thing. And even if he wanted, he couldn’t go beyond his professional capacity and party policy. That would be immoral.

What about that 60 years old man?

What about him? He’s just a collateral damage in this fight.

Fight or flight?

Fight. The fight against wrongs. The fight for our glory. Just don’t confine your dogmatic view into the flight only. Look beyond. This class of politicians are soldiers. They can reclaim our past, so that we can go back and sit comfortably under a banyan tree and watch a sati-burn while having a glass of hot milk and a calf would dry-suck her mother-cow’s breasts.

That’s a rosy picture.

Yeah. And government knows that too. That’s why they’re bringing changes in rules, so that this MP can fly again and doesn’t have to suffer in common man’s train.

That’s good news.

But I’m really upset about the slippers.

What about slippers?

Nobody talks about them. Patriotic animals offered themselves to create these slippers and it was a pity that poor they were being struck against the rough and wrinkled skin of a 60 years old no-body. It brings me tears that how much loyal were those slippers to their owner. They are special.

Yes. They are.

If we win this war, these slippers will be adorned in highest order and will be considered as important state-artifact.

They should be. They must be.

Let’s hope.
